On the occasion of hosting SB05Tokyo Conference, IBEC published this English version of “Architectural Design in the Era of Global Environment”, updating the original book as of August 2002. IWAMURA played the major role of reediting as well as translation, and consequently drew considerably high interests world-wide.

Prof. Frei OTTO, a globally well known German structural designer, edited and wrote the philosophical book about his innovation of light membrane structure under the title of “Natürliche Kostructionen.” IWAMURA translated this historic book into Japanese, which has been constantly read nation-wide to date.
